Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev remarked on the victory in the second round of the APT event in San Diego over American Brandon Nakashima (6: homepage 2, 6: web site 1) (USA).
„This is a big tennis player, I know Nakashima. I believed I had to dominate from the very start of the contest. I’ve been trying to use my forehand and dominate the game. It was everything in my advantage. All worked. I have been playing better and better from game to game. I succeeded in winning a landslide win. True, there have been times today when I felt awkward. There was a very low jump at the Boston event, but the ball jumps significantly here. I’m still adjusted to it, but for the first match it worked great,” said Rublev on the ATP’s official website.
Rublev will meet Argentinean Diego Schwartzman in the fourth finals of the event.
